DAY 1 - New York - Dakar
Arrival assistance and transfer to your hotel. Check into your room at hotel Sofitel Teranga before orientation.
DAY 2 - City Tour of Dakar - Goree
Early morning city tour of Dakar and Goree. You will tour the colorful markets of Sandaga, Tilene and Kermel, the Great Mosque, Independence Square , Avenue Pompidou Shopping centers, the Cathedral and wind up at the Soumbedioume crafts market.
DAY 3 - Dakar - Banjul
Early morning departure to Banjul, the Gambia by road in a comfortable air conditioned bus. Check into your room at Atlantic Beach Hotel. Relax at the poolside for the afternoon. A delicious buffet dinner a waits you. Overnight.
DAY 4 - Banjul - City Tour
Full day city tour of Banjul and its environments, including the famous Tie-Dye factory, the sacred crocodile pool, museum, local markets, tourist market, colonial building and other points of interest, Buffet dinner and overnight.
DAY 5 - Banjul - Saly
Return to Senegal through several Mandigo villages, including Juffureh, the birth place of Kunta Kinte of Alex Haley's famed <<Roots . Do not miss a look at the ruined fort at Albreda in which salves were held for export. Stop at Saly in the afternoon. Explore the facilities of Saly resort or relax at the poolside Buffet dinner and overnight.
DAY 6 - Saly - Dakar - Mali
Depart Saly for Pink Lake to discover one of nature's wonders. Here lies a mass of water having an inexplicable color of Pink with a high salinity rate of 320 grams in each litter of water, bearing semblance to the Dead Sea in the afternoon relax at the poolside. Late departure for airport for your flight to Bamako, Mali. On arrival, check into your room at hotel Mande. Dinner and Overnight.
DAY 7 - Bamako / Mopti
Depart early for san. After lunch, visit the mosque. In the evening, you will continue to Mopti. Dinner and Overnight at Motel Sevare.
DAY 8 - Mopti / Sangha / Mopti
Early drive to Sangha. City tour of Sangha to explore the Dogon culture and architecture. Visit the cliff villages of Banani, Bongo, Gogoly. Lunch at the campement. In the evening, return to Mopti. Dinner and overnight at Motel Sevare.
DAY 9 - Mopti / Toumbuktu
Take your early morning flight to Toumbouctou. Visit the mosque, the explorer house and the bustling market. Lunch at hotel. In the evening you will tour the desert for a visit to Touareg camps riding on camel.
DAY 10 - Toumbouctou / Mopti
Early morning flight to Mopti . City tour of Mopti. Visit market, mosque and the fishing port. You will have lunch at Bar Bozo (African restaurant). In the evening, you will cruise on the river to visit Bozo camps. Dinner and overnight at Motel Sevare.
DAY 11 - Mopti / Djenne / Segou
Early morning drive to Djenne to visit the mosque and the Monday market. You will continue to Segou in the evening. Dinner and overnight at l'Auberge.
DAY 12 - Segou / Bamako / Dakar
Early morning city tour of Segou. Visit the traditional Bambara houses and the colonial buildings. Lunch and drive to Bamako. In the evening , you will be transferred to Airport after dinner for your flight to Dakar.
DAY 13 - Day at leisure and shopping. Late departure for airport for your connecting flight to New York.
