Day 1 - Meet and greet at Nairobi airport then transfer to a Nairobi Hotel for overnight.
Booked on B/B.
Day 2 - Transfer to Nairobi Airport for your flight to Uganda. Arrival and transfer to Kampala, dinner and overnight Mosacourts Hotel. B/D
Day 3 - Early breakfast, and depart for 430 km journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Equator and through vast banana plantations of Masaka, Mbarara and Bushenyi. Lunch break in Agip Motel in Mbarara. You will continue to Mweya Safari Lodge which is on a peninsular. Evening free for siesta, swimming or optional short game drive. Dinner and overnight. B/L/D
Day 4 - Early game drive before breakfast through the Kasenyi track where you will meet abundant game such as Kob, Warthog, and possibly Lions and Leopards as well as numerous birds. Return for breakfast and remain at leisure until lunchtime. Afternoon take the boat trip to Kazinga Channel, where you will encounter schools of Hippos, variety of birds and fishermen at work. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge. B/L/D
Day 5 - After early breakfast, depart for a 2/3 hours guides walk in Maramagambo in search for primates, bat caves and possibly pythons. Continue to Kampala through large banana plantations of Bushenyi and Masaka. Not to miss also are the numerous herds of Ankole cattle with their rare long horns. You will make a stop over in Kinoni for traditional mats and stool as well as at Mpambire for traditional drums. You will arrive in the evening and straight to the Airport for evening flight back to Nairobi. B/L/D
DAY 6 - Depart from Nairobi and drive to Chogoria village for the start of our ascent to Mt. Kenya. From here we drive towards the park gate 3000m through the forest reserve where Colobus monkeys, Elephants and Buffaloes are often seen. The vehical will go as far as road conditions permits.(When wet condition may force us to hike for 2-3 hrs to reach the park gate).The night is spent in the Meru Mt. Kenya Bandas where you can also a shower. Dinner and overnight at Meru Mt. Kenya Bandas B/L/D
DAY 7 - Walk through the park land to the camp at the Nithi gate, 3300m a 3 hours easy hike. On the way we cross the crystal clear waters on Nithi river in Urumandi Hut where the path crosses a natural bridge. The campsite is by a stream In the moorland zone with fine waterfalls nearby. A short afternoon walk is possible in the beautiful surrounding moorland. Dinner and overnight at Nithi camp B/L/D
DAY 8 - After crossing the river we follow the ridge overlooking the Gorges Valley. This is where you catch one of the best views of the awe-inspiring Gorges Valley. Other fascinating sceneries include lakes, mushroom rocks, billiards table, the high peaks and several species of flowers.to Mintos/Hall Tarn camp (4270m). Today's walk take 3-4 hrs From here a short afternoon walk is possible to the temple provides magnificent views of Lake Michaelson. Dinner and overnight at Mintos camp. B/L/D
DAY 9 - You wake up just before 4.00am for a pre-dawn attempt of Pt. Lenana 4985m (the hikers summit) the hike takes 2-3 hours to the summit arriving in time for the sunrise. This hike takes you and it gives a memorable view of the African sunrise. On a clear day you can see the snow capped summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro miles away to the south. After the celebration of your successful summit conquer you descend back to Shipton's camp for a late breakfast/lunch. The rest of the day is spent at leisure recuperating. Dinner and Overnight at Shipton's Hut. B/L/D
Day 10 - After breakfast we descend down the sirimon trail. The trail cuts across the moorland, carpeted by tussock grass and dotted with lobelias and senecios. descending 900m. to Old moses camp (3300m). That gives way to rosewood, part of heath zone, bamboo and tropical rain forest to the sirimon roadhead where you connect with the picu up vehicle to Mountain Rock hotel. Your descend today is chiefly through the Mackinder's Valley, which gives a good view of the main peaks from behind. Lunch is served en-route. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Rock Lodge B/L/D
DAY 11 - Leave after breakfast for your return journey to Nairobi to connect with shuttle bus to Tanzania by 1.00 pm. Dinner and overnight at a Hotel in Arusha. B/B
Day 12 - You transfer to Machame Gate to begin the climb. Climb to Machame Hut, walking along a gentle climb through forest then up to the overnight stop on the edge of the forest. Overnight camping in mountain tents by Machame Hut (3 000 metre). B/L/D
Day 13 - Rising early, you cross a valley and a stream and then climb up a steep ridge for 3-4 hours. The path then drops into the river gorge before you climb more gently onto the moorland of the Shira Plateau, one of the most fascinating areas of the Mountain. Overnight camping in mountain tents by the Shira Hut (3 840 metre). B/L/D
Day 14 - Today you will walk for 5-6 hours, enjoying sightings of the typical Kilimanjaro Mountain vegetation (Senecios, Lobelia, Helichrysum) and rewarding views of the spectacular Barranco Valley. Overnight camping in Mountain tents by the Barranco Hut (3 950 metre). B/L/D
Day 15 - From the Barranco Hut, you walk across screes and ridges to Karanga (4 100 metre) with breathtaking views of the West Breach and the southern glacier. About 2 hours from Karanga you will come out on the Barafu path (part of the Mweka Trail). It is a further 1-2 hours to Barafu Hut where you stay overnight in Mountain tents (4 600 metre). B/L/D
Day 16 - You rise early in the morning and begin the climb to the summit by the light of the full moon. You pass through the gap between the Ratzel and Rebmann glaciers and continue to Uhuru peak (5,896 metre) where you can watch the sunrise from the rooftop of Africa! You then descend to Mweka Hut via the Mweka Route for your overnight stay in Mountain tents (3 100 metre). B/L/D
Day 17 - Descending to the Mweka Gate, you then continue by vehicle to a Hotel in Moshi for Dinner and overnight.
Day 18 - Connect with the shuttle bus for a return jorney back to Nairobi to connect with your flight back home. B/B
